The Environmental Services Technician ensures a clean and aseptic area within the hospital for the safety, health, and morale of patients, visitors, and employees by performing various housekeeping and other duties.

• Maintain cleanliness of public areas twice per shift, dusting and mopping all public areas, wiping furnishings, cleaning carpets and walls, placing caution signs, and returning equipment to storage.
• Maintain restrooms in a sanitary condition, cleaning all surfaces, replenishing supplies, wiping fixtures, emptying trash, disinfecting sinks and toilets, and removing mineral deposits.
• Clean patient rooms and ancillary areas, removing soiled linen, disposing of waste, disinfecting bed, bed rails, and furniture, ensuring beds are made properly, and completing discharge documentation.
• Clean surgical suites when not in use, wearing proper protective equipment, removing trash, segregating waste, and disinfecting all items.
• Promote quality guest relations by acknowledging customers promptly, using respectful communication, and addressing concerns with empathy.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Experience:
  
  Previous hospital or commercial housekeeping experience (preferred; on‑job training provided).
• Skills:
  
  Must read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
