ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13‑week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shift, 36 hours per week (18:45 – 07:15).

The ED Holding unit has patients located within the Emergency Department who are waiting for an inpatient bed. Patients may present with various medical/surgical adult diagnoses and may include PCU level patients. The role requires the traveler to take MS/Telemetry cases and float to the ED and Med Surg areas as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage patients in the ED Holding unit.
  • Conduct telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
  • Administer blood products and manage IV lines.
  • Provide colostomy and feeding tube care.
  • Utilize rapid response teams as required.
  • Perform phlebotomy and support patients with renal failure.
  • Float to other departments, including ED and Med Surg, as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred.
  • Experience with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Ability to float to various units based on patient needs.
