• Configures and/or codes AV control systems.
• Designs AV systems and solutions.
• Generates appropriate documentation for use on AV projects.
• Installs/upgrades AV equipment (hardware and software) in classrooms and conference rooms.
• Sets up and configures peripheral devices.
• Works with AVoIP, Dante, etc. devices and coordinates their interaction with the Networking team.
• Communicates and consults with end-users, departments, divisions, and universities as needed on AV-related issues.
• Provides accurate and courteous answers with timely call-backs or site visits and completion of service and project requests.
• Serves as a technical resource for internal and other ITS departments and staff for resolving any problems as a technical expert.
• Serves as backup to IET Manager for all capital projects.
• Performs routine and advanced diagnostics and maintenance of classroom technologies.
• Trains faculty and others on the proper use of AV systems and equipment, including the creation of materials as needed.

• Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in an Information Technology field and one year in the information technology field related to the position's role.
• OR Graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role.
• OR Graduation from a four year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area.

Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.

• 5+ years of general AV experience preferred including managing AV projects.
• Experience in the Higher Education environment.
• 2+ years of design and/or programming experience.
• Experience with configuring and managing networked AV systems.
• Experience with Dante, including Level 1, 2, & 3 certifications.
• Biamp certifications, Tesira Forte preferred.
• AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, and/or CTS-D certifications.
• Extron or Crestron certification(s), programming track preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
