MSP Project Manager

Full‑Time Hybrid Work Position

CW IT Support, a Managed Services Provider (MSP), focuses on being the leading outsourced technology services provider for SMB customers across NC through Technology Infrastructure Management, Help Desk Support, Security, IT Projects and Strategy. Our mission is to help growing businesses increase productivity, profitability, and peace of mind by offering best‑in‑class IT solutions, security, and support.

We’re a growing firm with offices currently located in Wilmington, NC and Jacksonville, NC, looking for a Project Manager to help lead our projects team to ensure successful execution of our projects on time and within budget.

Overall responsibility

The role will require excellent project control and coordination skills and an ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing and time‑sensitive environment. The role manages a large number of small to large projects simultaneously; projects range from a couple of days to a year, with 20 to 50 projects overseen at any time depending on sales activity and delivery timelines.

The project manager must achieve project objectives by contributing recommendations to project plans and reviews, preparing action plans, implementing standards, resolving problems, identifying trends, and implementing change orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the leadership team owning a defined portfolio of projects.
  • Manage direct reports via bi‑weekly one‑on‑ones, providing coaching, feedback, career pathing, and support.
  • Run weekly project meetings and daily project huddles.
  • Own overall delivery accountability for all projects within an assigned portfolio.
  • Facilitate definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Engage daily in project planning, task reviews and progress with the technical team.
  • Develop full‑scale project plans and templates.
  • Assign resources and prioritize tasks through proper scheduling.
  • Gather business objectives & requirements (customer and internal).
  • Provide technical problem solving when issues arise.
  • Prepare project reporting for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage scope (commercial and technical).
  • Maintain project records, budgets, reporting and governance.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and communications.
  • Coordinate and hold post‑project reviews.
  • Communicate with clients to provide progress updates and coordinate plans.
  • Monitor and report progress via metrics to all stakeholders.
  • Support procurement (10%): assist with inventory and deployment strategy, ownership of procurement elements and business improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members and support the Service Desk when applicable.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ MSP experience required.
  • Auto Task experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting preferred.
  • PMI certification preferred.
  • Procurement experience.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand or walk occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift occasionally.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
