Compensation: $62 - $100/hour W2 (No C2C)
Net App is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery across a high-visibility AI Security Readiness Program. This role will drive execution across multiple cybersecurity initiatives focused on accelerating vulnerability response, strengthening product release controls, expanding AI-enabled security capabilities, improving software supply chain practices, and preparing security teams for increasing AI-driven threats.
This is a hands-on delivery leadership role for someone who excels at bringing structure to ambiguity, driving accountability across large cross-functional organizations, and maintaining executive visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
Success in this role requires strong program and project management expertise combined with practical cybersecurity knowledge.
AI Security experience is a plus; however, proven cybersecurity program leadership and delivery experience are the primary requirements.
What You'll Do
- Lead planning and delivery across multiple work streams within a strategic AI Security readiness program.
- Establish clear scope, milestones, ownership, dependencies, risks, success metrics, and governance processes.
- Drive accountable execution across Security, Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, Legal, Marketing, Compliance, and other stakeholder groups.
- Coordinate initiatives that improve vulnerability response, rapid patching capabilities, automation, and service-level performance for critical and high-severity security issues.
- Support teams in defining and operationalizing security release gates, readiness criteria, governance reviews, and escalation procedures.
- Manage pilots, onboarding plans, and adoption efforts for AI-enabled security and vulnerability-scanning solutions.
- Maintain integrated program roadmaps and proactively resolve cross-team dependencies impacting delivery.
- Track security operations readiness, including staffing, training, automation, incident-response alignment, and operational maturity.
- Translate complex technical initiatives into concise executive updates, risk summaries, decision materials, and leadership reporting.
- Utilize Jira, Confluence, and related tools to drive transparency, traceability, ownership, and audit readiness.
- Foster accountability while building trusted relationships with security engineers, technical leaders, and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of project or program management experience leading complex technology, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, or product engineering initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading cybersecurity programs or partnering closely with security engineering organizations.
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology or security programs involving extensive stakeholder coordination across multiple teams and organizations.
- Strong understanding of one or more of the following areas:
Vulnerability Management, Product Security, Security Operations, Incident Response, Dev Sec Ops , Software Supply Chain Security, Release Governance, or Patch Management - Proven ability to manage multiple work streams, dependencies, risks, decisions, budgets, and executive stakeholders.
- Track record of moving complex initiatives forward while maintaining strong working relationships across teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentation development.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI Security, secure AI adoption, AI-enabled vulnerability scanning, security automation, or emerging technology risk management.
- Experience working within a large enterprise technology, software, cloud, or infrastructure environment.
- PMP, PgMP, or comparable project/program management certification.
- CISSP, CISM, Security+, or related cybersecurity certification.
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position:
Min:$62/Hr Max:$100/Hr
