The client is seeking a dynamic
Service
Now Technical Architect who combines deep technical expertise with strategic advisory capabilities. This role involves hands-on configuration and development across all major Service Now modules, while also contributing to pre-sales efforts including proposal development and Statements of Work (SOWs). The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor helping clients maximize their Service Now investments through strategic roadmaps, platform governance, and process optimization.
- Lead client engagements to assess current Service Now capabilities and define future-state process/platform strategies
- Develop platform roadmaps aligned with business goals and technical priorities
- Conduct business value assessments and recommend adoption strategies across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, Sec Ops, GRC, and CSM
- Design and implement governance models, KPIs, and process improvement frameworks
- Facilitate client workshops to gather requirements, align stakeholders, and drive consensus on solution design
- Configure and customize Service Now modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB, Discovery, HRSD, and more
- Perform health scans, technical debt analysis, and platform scalability assessments
- Manage integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, SCCM, JAMF)
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to draft proposals and SOWs; estimate effort, define scope, and align deliverables
- 7+ years of hands-on Service Now experience across multiple modules
- Proven track record in advisory consulting and technical delivery (3+ years)
- Strong understanding of Service Now architecture, scripting, workflows, and integrations (3+ years)
- Experience in proposal writing, SOW creation, and client presentations (2+ years)
- Demonstrated ability to lead client workshops and translate business processes into technical solutions (2+ years)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Senior — CSA, CIS (2 or more of: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HAM/SAM, HRSD, Discovery), PMP or equivalent, and ITIL Foundation
