Hispanic Outreach Specialist (Part-Time)

Pay: $18.00–$19.50 per hour, depending on experience

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern North Carolina is seeking a passionate, bilingual (English/Spanish) Hispanic Outreach Specialist to help connect Hispanic and Latino families with high-quality youth programs and community resources.

This position combines youth development with community outreach, family engagement, bilingual communication, and culturally responsive programming. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, building relationships with families, and making a meaningful impact in the community.

• Part-time (20–25 hours per week)
• Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00–6:30 p.m.
• Occasional evenings and weekends for community events
• Pay: $18.00–$19.50/hour

• Reports to the Director of Hispanic Outreach

• Supervise and mentor youth in a safe, engaging environment.
• Build strong relationships with Hispanic and Latino families.
• Assist with membership registration and scholarship information.
• Provide bilingual communication, interpretation, and translation.
• Represent BGCSENC at schools, community events, and outreach activities.
• Support family engagement events, parent workshops, and cultural celebrations.
• Help connect families with community resources and Club programs.

• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
• At least 21 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work Monday–Friday afternoons and occasional evenings/weekends
