Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national law firm, is seeking Attorneys to join our Charlotte, NC office with experience in Workers' Compensation defense litigation. We are open to hiring and training attorneys who haven't practiced in this area. This is a great opportunity for an attorney wanting to move to the next level.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Provide client communication and advice as it relates to litigation risks and outcomes, legal rights and obligations, etc.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Draft legal review and analysis, and advise on issues for the area of law practiced.
- Prepare and attend mediations and hearings as required.
- Handle client interaction and problem resolution as it relates to case hearings.
- Integrate best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases.
- Prepare timely discovery for opposing parties, and respond to discovery by opposing parties.
- Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Meet requirements for designated minimum billable time (hours/receivables).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1-3 years of litigation experience.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited university.
- Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing with the bar of the State of North Carolina and able to be admitted in all Federal District Courts in North Carolina, if not already admitted.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and produce an accurate and high-quality work product.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Lexis Nexis and time-billing software.
