FLSA for Position: Nonexempt

• Apply carpentry and painting trade methods to perform general maintenance duties.
• Pressure wash, scrape handrails, paint, perform light carpentry, and complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist with removal of snow, ice, or debris as required and report to work during adverse weather conditions.

• Basic maintenance machinery and equipment knowledge helpful.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance machinery and equipment will be helpful to perform tasks.

7:00 am – 4:00 pm, M–F, 40 hours per week.

Estimated $15 / hour with temporary assignment length based on department need.

This is a temporary position with a potential extension. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a 31‑day break from employment. Temporary employees are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
