Electrical Construction Project Manager

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Industry Focus: Healthcare Construction Projects

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Construction Project Manager to oversee healthcare construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for project execution, financial performance, scheduling, quality, safety, and team leadership, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution
  • Manage assigned projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedule adherence, profitability, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Oversee supervisors and field teams in alignment with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR to support workforce planning and recruitment needs.
Pre-Construction
  • Lead contract administration, project setup, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
  • Develop job cost budgets, schedules of values, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and BOMs.
  • Price and procure subcontractor and major material packages (e.g., switch gear, lighting, commodities).
  • Manage submittals and ensure scope alignment with drawings and specifications.
VDC / BIM Coordination
  • Provide oversight of VDC/BIM efforts for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with BIM and operations teams to develop coordination plans, schedules, and layouts.
  • Review models and drawings for constructability and quality control.
  • Support field layout and coordination efforts.
Pre-Fabrication
  • Develop and maintain project-specific prefabrication strategies.
  • Coordinate fabrication schedules, delivery, and installation.
  • Identify opportunities to expand prefabrication efficiencies.
Material Management & Jobsite Logistics
  • Create and manage material procurement, delivery, storage, and logistics plans.
  • Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Oversee equipment procurement, rentals, tools, and company assets.
  • Coordinate logistics with field leadership and vendor partners.
Scheduling & Workforce Planning
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and manpower projections.
  • Coordinate weekly schedule updates with field leadership.
  • Track labor hours and productivity to ensure alignment with estimates.
Subcontractor Management
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, scope compliance, manpower levels, and billing.
  • Ensure timely completion of subcontractor deliverables and submittals.
Safety & Quality Control
  • Develop and enforce project-specific safety plans in collaboration with field leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE requirements, and incident management.
  • Implement and manage QA/QC plans, punch lists, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to codes, specifications, and quality standards.
Cost & Change Management
  • Review, price, and manage scope changes and change orders.
  • Track pending and approved change orders and billing status.
  • Prepare and present monthly WIP reports, cost-to-complete estimates, and financial summaries.
  • Monitor contract values, billings, costs, labor usage, AR, and key schedule milestones.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Represent the organization professionally in meetings, committees, and industry events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with an electrical contractor (required).
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, labor tracking, and change management.
  • Ability to review drawings for pricing, procurement, and constructability.
  • Experience with project management, accounting, and estimation software (Spectrum a plus).
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
