Work Location: Fairview, NC

Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $17.61/hr

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview: The Assembly Operator I is responsible for the precise assembly of components in a manufacturing environment. This role involves the use of microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures, while closely following work instructions and company procedures. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, eagerness to learn, and a strong attention to detail, ensuring top-quality parts for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components, utilizing microscopes, hand tools, and fixtures as required
  • Inspect work using established quality standards and work instructions
  • Conduct pull tests and measurements using calipers, gauges, or other devices
  • Review products to ensure they meet print specifications
  • Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area
  • Adhere to all company, departmental, and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Read and interpret drawings to accurately perform tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity principles
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred
  • Experience with measuring devices (calipers, gauges) preferred
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods (up to 75% of the shift)
  • Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones
  • Proficient in understanding written instructions in English
