Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
Traveler experience is accepted for this role.
Local candidates are accepted.
Candidate must possess skills in colostomy and ileostomy care and management, including double barrel stoma, end stoma, and loop with rod stoma.
Identification and management of risk factors impacting skin integrity are required, including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, necrotic debris, melanoma, cellulitis, and edema.
Symptom management experience is necessary, including alterations in skin and mucous membranes, altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, depression/anxiety, fatigue/lethargy/weakness, and pain management.
Experience with ulcer risk assessment tools, such as the Braden scale assessment, is essential.
Wound and ulcer assessment and management skills should include neuropathic and peripheral arterial ulcer assessment and management.
Proficiency in pressure ulcer assessment and management, tunneling, undermining, and venous status ulcer assessment is also required.
Knowledge of pressure ulcer staging from Stage I to Stage IV is necessary.
Candidate must be familiar with various wound treatments and dressings, including alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, and wound vac therapy.
Professional knowledge of G-tube/J-tube feeding and site care is required.
Infection control practices and isolation precautions must be followed.
Flexibility to work within the needs of the unit is expected.
Candidate's interview availability is required to expedite the approval process.
Some holidays and weekends may be included in the schedule.
Candidate must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and census.
References are preferred for submission.
