About the Position
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Oncology – North Carolina

Schedule:
Night shift, 13-26 week assignments available, every other weekend required, 1:6 patient ratio
Highlights:
Medical Surgical unit with Oncology patient population, daily census of 42 beds
Chemotherapy administration experience required; ONS/ONCC certification mandatory
Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and lift teams
24-hour orientation provided over two shifts
First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of RN experience
Requirements:
Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an inpatient setting
Current BLS and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
Experience with Med/Surg, colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line management, PICC lines, heparin/insulin administration, surgical drains, chest tubes, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac
Ability to administer chemotherapy/biotherapy via IV, PO, or injection
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
Willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations including ED patient holding areas
Availability to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team as assigned during catastrophic events
