About the Position
Job Opportunity – Wound Ostomy & Continence Nurse (WOCN) – North Carolina

Schedule:
8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 40 hours per week available; 13-week contract
Highlights:
No call, no float, and no weekend requirements
Work with a diverse patient population including neonates through geriatrics
Comprehensive wound and ostomy care including wound vac therapy, conservative debridement, and complex wound management
Epic EMR system with structured orientation based on your experience level
Monday through Friday schedule supporting excellent work-life balance
Opportunity to utilize advanced wound care skills including pressure ulcer staging, vacuum-assisted closure, and ostomy management
Requirements:
Active RN license (NC or Compact state license accepted)
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
BLS certification required
WCC (Wound Care Certification) or WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse) certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Hospital and pediatrics experience required
Epic charting system experience required
Extensive wound care skills including colostomy/ileostomy management, pressure ulcer assessment and staging (I-IV), wound vac therapy, and various wound treatment modalities
Proficiency with Braden scale assessment and prevention risk assessment tools for adult and pediatric populations
Experience with sharp and mechanical debridement, vacuum-assisted closure, and advanced wound dressings
Knowledge of symptom management including pain management, altered mental status, and skin integrity issues
First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered
