Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Wound Care Nurse with experience in hospital and pediatrics to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex wound management needs, including ostomy care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for individuals with a variety of wound types and skin integrity issues.
Responsibilities- Perform thorough assessments of wounds and skin integrity.
- Apply knowledge of colostomy and ileostomy care and management.
- Utilize wound/ulcer assessment and management techniques.
- Conduct symptom management for patients experiencing pain, anxiety, or altered mental status.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records using the EPIC system.
- Implement and monitor pressure ulcer prevention strategies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Wound Care.
- BLS certification required.
- WOCN or WCC certification preferred.
- Knowledge of wound treatments and dressings.
- Ability to perform patient/family teaching regarding wound care and management.
