Full Time

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 am–5 pm
Friday: 7:30 am–12 pm
No On Call

Wilmington, NC

Pain Management

• Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations.
• Reviews patient’s medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course.
• Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients.
• Performs daily patient rounds.
• Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interprets laboratory and test results.
• Confers with physicians, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
• Provides health education and counseling.
• Works independently and is responsible for own caseload.

Outpatient

• Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, such as a Master of Science in nursing or graduate from an ARC‑PA accredited physician assistant program.
• State license.
• BLS certification.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Current license to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the state of practice.
• 2–4 years of clinical work experience.
• Compassionate and personable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff.
• Strong leadership skills, self‑confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional active listening skills.
