The Immunization RN administers vaccines, assesses patients for vaccine eligibility, educates patients on immunizations, monitors for adverse reactions, and maintains accurate clinical documentation while following CDC guidelines and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer vaccines safely according to CDC guidelines.
- Assess patients and review medical history.
- Educate patients on vaccines and possible side effects.
- Monitor for adverse reactions after vaccination.
- Document immunizations in the EMR.
- Maintain vaccine storage and inventory standards.
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience with vaccine administration preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
