Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) - 4W Medical Surgical FT Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) position in the 4W Medical Surgical Unit of Christiana Care – Wilmington Hospital, Delaware. Work the night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) with a 20% night shift differential. Weekend and holiday work follows department guidelines.

    7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (night shift)
  • 20% night shift differential pay
  • Weekend and holiday availability per department guidelines

The 4W Medical Surgical Unit is a 50‑bed, 24‑hour inpatient unit located on the fourth floor of the Wilmington Hospital campus. The unit provides scheduled and emergent care and procedures for a variety of surgical patients, including orthopedic, plastic surgery, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to surgical patients, including pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative nursing responsibilities.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage post‑operative complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.
  • BSN required or commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of hire date.
  • Minimum one year of acute‑care nursing experience.
  • BLS certification required.
Pay

Hourly pay range: $41.28 – $66.05, based on qualifications and experience.
