Description of WorkWe are recruiting a Nurse Supervisor II to serve as Clinical Nurse Manager on the Screening and Admissions Unit (SAU) at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The primary purpose of SAU is to facilitate safe patient processing, accurate referral handling, and the diversion of admissions that are clinically or legally inappropriate. Responsibilities include delivering psychiatric mental‑health care, supervising licensed and non‑licensed staff, and performing general administrative duties such as planning, organizing, daily operations management, quality assurance, human‑resource functions, and staff training.
The role supports the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) and maintains overall unit effectiveness.
- Implementation of the nursing process to meet patient needs and staff assignments.
- Leadership of staff with a professional, caring approach and support for unit goals.
- Collaboration and communication with internal and external customers.
- Advising and counseling employees on performance and conduct.
- Knowledge of EPIC, specifically the transfer center and SAU admission process.
Salary Range: $77,076.00 – $. Recruitment Range: $ – $.
- Sign‑on bonus of up to $10,000 may be offered to a successful applicant, contingent on budget approval.
Position is full‑time and eligible for the full state benefits package, including health insurance, retirement, paid vacation, sick leave, community service leave, and paid parental leave.
Physical RequirementsWill be discussed during the interview process. Candidates must be able to pass CPR, perform protective interventions, lift, kneel, walk up and down stairs, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Education and ExperienceLicense to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; minimum of three years of nursing experience, including one year in a Nurse Supervisor capacity.
