Stepdown Unit - Registered Nurse; RN All Shifts

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week at our Christiana Hospital on the 4C Medical Stepdown Unit. Weekend and holidays are scheduled per department guidelines.

All work shifts are available. Specific shift times will be discussed during the interview.

4C is a Medical Intermediate Care inpatient unit, staffed by dedicated nurses who deliver care to a complex adult patient population. The unit follows a relationship‑based model, building connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Assist in managing a 4–5 patient assignment, working side‑by‑side with the interdisciplinary team that includes Patient Care Technicians, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and other medical professionals.

• BSN required. ADNs may be considered if committed to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire.
• Minimum one year of acute or sub‑acute care experience preferred.
• Board certification in Medical‑Surgical, Geriatric, and/or Progressive Care Nursing encouraged.
• BLS required.
• Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, compassion, and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 – $66.05. Salary within this range depends on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to job requirements.
