Registered Nurse

The registered nurse will provide direct patient care in a med/surg/telemetry setting. Responsibilities include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring is required. Candidates must be familiar with rapid response and code teams. The role involves care for conditions such as bowel obstruction and colostomy management. Feeding tube care and pre/post hemodialysis management are also essential.

The nurse will be responsible for administering blood products and managing central and peripheral lines. Phlebotomy skills are necessary for this position. The nurse should have experience with IV initiation and maintenance. Knowledge of insulin and heparin administration is required. Experience with non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration is expected. Candidates should be proficient in wound care and the use of wound vacs.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various medical conditions. Diagnosis experience should include diabetes, dementia, respiratory issues, and post-surgical recovery. The nurse will interact with interdisciplinary support teams, including physical therapy and social services. Candidates are expected to have strong skills in electronic documentation. Weekends will be required on an every-other basis. The nurse must be open to working during emergencies or disaster situations.
