Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts: 18:45 - 07:15. Ratios: 1:6. Every other weekend required.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, managing a diverse patient population with conditions including diabetes, dementia, COVID-19, COPD, and various surgical recoveries. The RN will utilize telemetry monitoring and engage in rapid response situations as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient conditions using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Provide pre/post-operative care for surgical patients.
• Perform phlebotomy and manage central/peripheral IV lines.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg telemetry nursing experience.
• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
