Registered Nurse – Med/Surg & Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 4x12-Hour schedule (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM). Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.

A registered nurse with expertise in Med/Surg and Telemetry is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The role involves monitoring patients' conditions, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including remote monitoring through telemetry.
• Administer medications, including blood products, insulin, and heparin.
• Provide care for patients with bowel obstructions, colostomies, ileostomies, and feeding tubes.
• Manage pre and post-operative care, including hemodialysis and thoracic surgeries.
• Conduct phlebotomy and central line blood draws, as well as IV maintenance and management.
• Utilize rapid response and code teams effectively during critical situations.
• Provide wound care and management for surgical drains, including the use of wound vacs.
• Deliver non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy including BiPAP/CPAP maintenance.
• Maintain isolation precautions and adhere to PPE protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing patients with dysrhythmias.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
