NP/PA Newborn/Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity in Nags Head, NC

ECU Health Physicians and The Outer Banks Health Hospital, located in Nags Head, NC are seeking an Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care trained Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The successful candidate will provide care for newborn infants and/or pediatric patients. Monthly rotations at ECU Health Maynard Children's Hospital in Greenville, NC will be incorporated for high-risk resuscitation skills and competency maintenance.

• Hospital privileges at The Outer Banks Health Hospital and at ECU Health's Maynard Children’s Hospital
• Support and continuous competency training provided by Maynard Children’s Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center
• 12 (24-hour) call shifts per month
• 16 days off per 28 days
• Clinical responsibilities will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients, attendance all at high-risk deliveries, and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
• Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center

• Neonatal NP or Pediatric NP-AC
• Physician Assistant
  - Experience in Newborn or NICU
• NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
• National Board Certification as a Neonatal NP, Pediatric NP-AC, or as Physician Assistant required, including maintenance2+ years of experience in health care setting
• Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
