Broughton Hospital (BH) is currently accepting applications for a Nurse Consultant I
- Nurse Clinician. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity for an expert-level Registered Nurse to influence clinical practice, elevate quality of care, and support the ongoing growth of nursing excellence across the facility.

The Nurse Clinician serves as a highly skilled clinical consultant to Nursing Services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with regulatory standards and best practices. In close collaboration with Nursing Leadership and front-line staff, individuals in this role help design, refine, and enhance nursing programs throughout assigned service areas.

MANDATORY POSITION NOTICE:
This position is designated as Mandatory. The selected candidate must be able to report to work and remain onsite during adverse weather conditions or other emergency situations as required.

A Sign-On Bonus of $10,000.00 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on Budget Approval.

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/Management Preferences are not required.

Per G.S. 126-5 (c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.

Flexibility is required for education and training purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.

To qualify for the Sign-On Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a pro-rated rate.
