Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN – North Carolina

Start Date: ASAP – October 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:15 AM – 4:45 PM, every third weekend required, call coverage 2 days per week and every third weekend

Highlights:

• Specialized CVOR environment supporting complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, aortic dissections, laser lead extractions, and ECMO/Impella support
• 1:1 patient ratio with approximately 6 cases daily across 3 operating rooms
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Contract availability through February 2027 with 24 hours of orientation provided based on experience level
• May float to main OR as needed based on CVOR volume; scrubs provided
• Opportunities for first-time travelers with appropriate experience welcomed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• ECMO and Impella experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Availability to work during severe weather events and emergency situations as part of facility storm team protocols
• Flexibility with time off requests; RTO must be pre-approved before contract signing and is not allowed after booking
