Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry – North Carolina

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period). Must be available for holiday rotation. Floating required as needed to support facility needs.

Highlights:

• Comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with 44 beds and diverse patient population including post-surgical cardiac and vascular patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with collaborative interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• EPIC charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Contract lengths from 13-26 weeks available
• Exposure to advanced cardiac procedures including TAVR, Watchman, post-cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and post-CABG care
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to assignment start date

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry or Step-down experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate cardiac experience
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, drip management, sheath removal, and post-procedural care
• Experience with arterial lines, chest tubes, femoral sheaths, and cardiac equipment preferred
• Ability and willingness to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team during emergency events
• Flexibility with requested time off (maximum 7 days, excluding holidays)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Patient Population:

• Adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and vascular conditions including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, valve disorders, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, peripheral vascular disease, and carotid stenosis
• Post-operative patients following CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, mitral clip, LAAO, vascular surgeries, amputations, and thoracic procedures
• Post-procedure monitoring for cardiac catheterization, cardioversion, electrophysiology studies, and pacemaker placements
