Pay Rate Range: $17.00 - 19.00 /hr (DOE)

Monday – Friday, Standard Business Hours (~40 hrs/week)

Location:

Wilmington, NC 28405 (100% Onsite)

Tekberry is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Technician I to work on-site with our client in Wilmington, NC. This is a contract opportunity supporting manufacturing quality operations, process improvement, and product quality initiatives within a production environment.

Position Summary

The Quality Technician I supports manufacturing quality performance by analyzing processes, data, and product quality metrics to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and ensure compliance with internal quality systems and customer requirements. This role partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support sustainable process improvements and production quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare manufacturing operations for new product codes and experiments by setting up specifications and workflows
  • Analyze production and quality data to support ware disposition decisions and quality holds
  • Support process improvement efforts related to product quality, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Participate in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities
  • Assist with root cause analysis investigations and implementation of corrective actions
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to support sustainable quality improvements
  • Provide training support on quality systems, procedures, and corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare status reports and maintain quality-related documentation
  • Support compliance with customer requirements and internal quality standards

Qualifications

Required:
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a process or quality technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with data collection and data analysis tools including:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Access
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and observational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Ability to work independently and within team environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple organizational levels
Preferred:
  • Experience with:
    • JMP
    • Minitab
    • SPC XL
    • PI systems
  • Manufacturing quality systems experience
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
