Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven individual to join our team as a Procedure Development and Implementation Specialist. This role is responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop, write, and maintain clear and concise standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather input, validate procedures, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement or standardization.
- Implement new procedures and ensure proper training and communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with established procedures and recommend updates as needed.
- Maintain a centralized repository of all procedural documentation.
- Ensure all procedures comply with industry regulations, internal policies, and quality standards.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a procedure writing or technical writing capacity, with examples of creating new documents, processes, and content.
- Experience in complex engineering products, preferably from an engineering, R&D, or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with engineering standards such as ISO and QMS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, and Visio.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) or regulatory standards such as ISO, FDA, and HIPAA.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
This position is onsite in Wilmington, North Carolina, within an office‑type environment. It involves cross‑functional work with multiple engineering teams spanning the product lifecycle.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
