Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/year
Job Summary:
The Building Products Auditor is responsible for conducting thorough quality management system audits and product inspections to ensure compliance with established specifications. Utilizing precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers, they perform meticulous visual product inspections, measurements, and tests. Their duties also include documenting inspection results, promptly identifying and reporting any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards to relevant personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities- Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Document inspection results.
- Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
- Submit reports and expenses from inspections.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to be self-motivated and driven to succeed.
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality assurance/control principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills to identify non-conformities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate findings.
- Ability to work with and thoroughly understand relevant product standards.
- Ability to maintain impartiality in inspection activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain impartiality and client confidentiality in all inspection activities in accordance with our Business Management System agreements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or training in quality assurance is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience of working with a formal quality or business management system.
- Experience writing technical reports.
- Must be able to travel to manufacturer locations and perform physical inspections including bending, kneeling, and visually inspecting products.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Domestic and International travel is required approximately 80% of the time.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Maintain a valid passport and ability to travel internationally within North America.
