Temporary Research Analyst II - Computer Science (Pool)
This is a temporary position with the possibility of continuation. Work typically involves developing specific plans for experiments in the assigned laboratory and area of study, reading literature relating to procedures, modifying and adapting procedures to suit the particular project objectives, and carrying out experiments independently. You will record and interpret data, prepare reports, and provide training and supervision of other technicians or students under the general supervision of a principal investigator.
Responsibilities- Develop specific plans for experiments in the assigned laboratory and area of study.
- Read literature relating to procedures and modify or adapt procedures to suit the particular project objectives.
- Carry out experiments independently, record and interpret data, and prepare reports.
- Train and supervise other technicians or students in performing specific phases of experiments.
- Report progress through periodic conferences and reports under the general supervision of a principal investigator.
- Graduation from a four‑year college or university with a major in a related science.
- Three years of laboratory experience in the area of research assigned.
- Strong theoretical knowledge to work effectively in the area of inquiry.
- Independent judgment in planning and conducting experiments and evaluating results.
- Additional certifications or experience in the specific area of work assigned.
