Kid Strong is a science-based kids training program focused on building strong, confident, high-character kids. Through weekly, 45-minute, developmentally appropriate classes, our certified coaches lead fun, structured programming that supports brain, physical, and character development.
Kid Strong Wilmington is getting ready to open , and we are looking for a driven, polished, and people-focused Assistant General Manager / Lead Sales to help lead that growth.
About the RoleAt Kid Strong, Lead Sales/Assistant General Managers is part time position and is the heartbeat of the center. This role is ideal for someone who loves sales, understands how to close with confidence, and is equally committed to delivering a top-notch, first-class sales experience for every family.
This is not transactional sales. This is relationship-based, values-driven, consultative selling—and getting the sale matters.
You’ll partner closely with the General Manager to drive revenue, lead the team, and ensure every family feels informed, supported, and excited to join the Kid Strong community.
The Ideal CandidateYou must have prior sales experience and be able to confidently:
- Lead sales conversations
- Overcome objections
- Close memberships
- Follow up consistently and professionally
- Take full ownership of sales outcomes
You are motivated by results, but grounded in service. You understand that how you sell is just as important as what you sell.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales (Primary Focus)
- Own the sales process from first contact to close
- Conduct outbound call drives to new and existing leads using the center’s CRM
- Deliver a polished, consultative sales experience that builds trust and urgency
- Close memberships generated from online self-sign-ups and inbound inquiries
- Maintain flawless lead management and follow‑up
- Attend and source local events to generate leads and increase brand awareness
- Schedule, sell, and promote Kid Strong camps, events, and parties to maximize profitability
Center Operations
- Understand key KPIs and financials to make informed business decisions
- Build strong, lasting relationships with Kid Strong families
- Oversee center‑level initiatives including maintenance, training, and brand consistency
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Communicate coach schedule changes using appropriate platforms
- Support on‑brand social media content and respond promptly to inquiries
- Schedule:
Typically 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift, with hours based on center needs
Leadership
- Foster a coaching and accountability culture—see something, say something
- Assess and document coaches based on Kid Strong Coach DNA and class quality
- Support onboarding, coaching, and development of team members
- Manage ongoing staff training through Learn Upon
- Communicate professionally via Slack and email, including timely responses
Coaching
- Coach classes as needed (approximately 8-10 classes per week)
- Deliver curriculum focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development
- Clearly communicate the “why” behind the Kid Strong program to families
- Safely manage a physically active environment, including lifting equipment up to 25 lbs
- Work hands‑on with children from walking age through 11 years old
