Serves as Chief, Environmental Resources, responsible for leading a diverse team to complete a wide range of tasks to meet all regulatory requirements.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to produce Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements and Records of Environmental Consideration for water resource or other projects.
Provide expert advice and consultation for the district on environmental compliance and stewardship and on ecosystem management.
Identify and evaluate appropriate environmental commitments, terms and conditions, or mitigation requirements for major water resource or other projects, to meet requirements of all appropriate environmental laws and regulations.
Apply governing public laws such as the Clean Water Act (CWA), Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), etc.
