As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Wilmington, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this hands‑on role, you will support access activity, respond to site needs, and represent a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour
Job ScheduleMon – Fri, 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
- Support incident reporting, access control, and/or emergency preparedness activities within a manufacturing and industrial location while maintaining a professional presence.
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
