Install and service card access, CCTV, intrusion alarm, electronic fire alarm and other related building system products at customer sites. Lead, direct, oversee and guide the work of installation technicians. Manage various projects, ensure timely completion, and maintain effective communication through regular meetings and detailed reports. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
How You Will Do It- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals and bulletins to repair equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot and service card access, CCTV and burglar alarm systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and manuals.
- Provide effective customer service by communicating with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete installation, programming and testing through devices such as smartphones and laptops.
- Obtain customer signature upon completed installation contract.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- 10+ years of experience in the Security Industry, including installing, inspecting, repairing and programming card access, CCTV and intrusion systems.
- Lead and mentor installation technicians.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Ability to work in difficult positions (climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings).
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Strong customer service skills and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
- Retain licenses required by National, State and Local codes; knowledge of NFPA standards.
- NICET experience.
- Associate Degree in IT or Electronics.
- Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV.
- Fire alarm experience.
- Networking experience.
Hourly range: $25-$36. The hourly rate is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, and market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role, but exceptional candidates may warrant consideration beyond the stated range.
