What you will do – Johnson Controls the leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12 and Commercial Real Estate is seeking skilled HVAC Servicemen to join our growing business. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will consult with our customers on comfort, building inefficiency and other service-related issues.
ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems and recommend solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently.
- Identify enhancements that will provide customer systems reliability and sustainability at the time of service and provide labor and material quotes to support your recommendations.
- Participate in weekend, night, and holiday call out service on a rotating basis.
- Be trained through the Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards and advancement. Have direct access to Factory Technical Support. Be equipped with safety equipment, uniforms, tools, cell phone, technical equipment and vehicle required for your job.
- Assist Journeymen in the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw and scroll chillers as needed.
Required
- Adherence to the company Safety Program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and repair of three‑phase commercial HVAC equipment, RTUs, heat pumps and fans.
- A valid drivers license.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification is required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipe fitters.
Preferred
- Five (5) years of commercial and/or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFDs, Air Handling Units, and Rooftop units.
Pay Range: $30.59 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
