LB&B Associates is currently seeking a full‑time HVAC Mechanic to support our contract located at the Alton Lennon Federal Building, Wilmington, NC. This position is a full‑time union position and it offers Health and Welfare Pay of $6.50 per hour up to 40 hours per week, not to exceed 2080 hours per year. The role also offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and a pension plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
Working schedule is Monday through Friday: 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Candidates must be able to obtain a Nate Certification within 6 months of employment. HVAC Mechanic Nate‑Certified hourly pay is: $41.20 per hour.
HVAC Mechanic must have a minimum of five years’ experience working on large commercial heating and air‑conditioning equipment. The technician must be competent to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, hot‑water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other various HVAC equipment and building systems. Candidates must also have general maintenance knowledge on how to operate and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- Universal EPA or CFC certification is required.
- Technical training in HVAC is highly desired.
