LB&B Associates is currently seeking a full‑time HVAC Mechanic to support our contract located at the Alton Lennon Federal Building, Wilmington, NC. This is a full‑time union position offering health and welfare pay of $6.50 per hour up to 40 hours per week, not to exceed 2080 hours per year. The role also offers vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and a pension plan in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Working schedule is Monday through Friday: 7:30 am‑4:30 pm. HVAC Mechanic Nate Certified hourly pay is: $41.20 per hour. Candidate must be able to obtain Nate Certification within 6 months of employment.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on large commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.
• Maintain boilers, chillers, hot water heating systems, domestic water plumbing systems, air handlers, VAV components, and other HVAC equipment.
• Apply general maintenance knowledge to operate and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Minimum five (5) years of experience working on large commercial HVAC equipment.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Universal EPA or CFC certification.
• Technical training in HVAC is highly desired.
• Ability to obtain Nate Certification within 6 months of employment.
