Equipment operator

Overview

BHI Energy is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator based at Sutton Steam Plant in Wilmington, NC. This is a local hire position and will not pay relocation fees. The role may require traveling to other plants for maintenance, with per-diem eligible when traveling away from the home base. We are hiring multiple positions based on experience level. The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operating.

Dirt work experience is a plus, and the ability to read blueprints is preferred. Equipment to be operated includes bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, vibratory rollers, skid steers, and mini excavators. • Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, front end loaders, vibratory rollers, skid steers, and mini excavators.
• Travel to other plants for maintenance and support, with per-diem eligibility when traveling from the home base.
• Read and interpret blueprints as required by projects.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Dirt work experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a drug test and a security background check.

• Based in Wilmington, NC; local hire with no relocation coverage.
• Reporting: onsite to the plant in Wilmington, NC; report to the site Manager.
