Grounds Crew- Monster Tree Service of Cape Fear

Job Overview

Monster Tree Service of Cape Fear is looking for a Grounds Crew member.

As part of a franchisee-owned operation, you will be joining a local team dedicated to safe, quality tree care.

• Use hand lines to lower limbs and equipment.
• Unload, lay out, prepare, and stow materials, tools, and equipment at the worksite.
• Operate trucks, loaders, and other equipment such as log movers, chippers, and stump grinders.
• Service trucks and equipment; keep them neat and orderly; report required repairs to the crew leader.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area; maintain frequent communication with workers aloft.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and daily job briefings.
• Adhere to all industry and company safety standards and policies, including the use of PPE at all times; help enforce job safety practices.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform related work as assigned.
• Operate and maintain chippers, chainsaws, and all other equipment in a safe manner.

• Prior experience with trimming, liming, chipping, and saw operation is preferred.
• A clean, valid Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to work ropes for climbers.
• Ability to run an Avant loader.
• Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs and work outside in all weather conditions.
