HiFyve is hiring Maintenance Technicians in the Automotive Industry!
HiFyve is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to hire Maintenance Technicians for their manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska
. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting highly automated production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and long-term career growth.
Location: Columbus, NE
Shift: 1st Shift
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 am– 3:00 PM
- Rotating on-call schedule every 4th weekend
- Saturday hours paid at overtime
- Sunday hours paid at double time
- $20–$41/hour (depending on experience)
Responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems .
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams .
- Complete and properly close maintenance work orders in the required system.
- Identify equipment failures and perform root‑cause troubleshooting.
- Support production by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests.
- Comply with all HSE requirements, safety procedures, and required certifications , including DC-3 .
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation.
- Properly use, care for, and control company‑provided tools, equipment, parts, and resources .
- Provide a service‑oriented attitude when supporting Production and other departments.
- Follow LOTO and all applicable safety procedures when performing maintenance activities.
- Technical degree/certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance , or related field preferred.
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Industrial equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Service‑oriented attitude and ability to work effectively with production teams.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and support different shifts.
