· 4-day work week · $118,000–$128,000 (adjustable by experience)
Banyan Integrated Health is growing on the coast, and we're looking for a psychiatric provider to help build our Wilmington practice. We designed this role the way we wish more clinical jobs were designed: a sustainable caseload, protected time for documentation, and a week that leaves room for a life outside of work.
We're small on purpose, so you'll be known here rather than lost in a large system, and we're well established, with more than a decade of caring for our clients behind us. Our providers aren't a number to us; they're treated like family. When we ask our clinicians what makes the difference, the answer is simple: they feel supported, trusted, and genuinely cared for, which frees them to give their best to patients.
That's the environment we're inviting you into.
The work is entirely outpatient and low-acuity. Without on-call, hospital rounds, or weekend coverage, your evenings and days off actually stay yours.
The roleThis is a 4-day, 32-hour week: 3 days in our Wilmington office and 1 day remote. Of those hours, 29 are patient-facing and 3 are protected for administrative and professional work. You'll practice at a pace that lets you think between patients, take a real lunch, and finish your notes before you head home.
Our support staff handles billing, insurance, and scheduling, so your day stays focused on clinical work. And you're never practicing alone — you'll collaborate virtually with our seasoned psychiatric providers, supervising psychiatrist, Clinical Director, and Medical Director whenever you'd like a second set of eyes.
What we're looking forOne of the following, with an active North Carolina license (or license-eligible):
- PMHNP-BC
- PA-C with psychiatric specialization
- MD/DO Psychiatrist
Two or more years of clinical experience is preferred, ideally with an outpatient background, along with strong assessment skills and a warm, clear way of communicating with patients. More than any credential, we're looking for someone who takes real ownership of patient care and wants to grow alongside a practice that will invest in them.
What we offer- Salary of $118,000–$128,000, adjustable by credentials and experience
- Signing bonus
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with employer match (100% of the first 3% deferred, 50% of the next 2%)
- Generous paid time off, including vacation/sick days, paid holidays, and dedicated mental health days
- Paid professional liability insurance
- Clinical supervision and oversight, with a covered supervising physician
- Covered CEUs and advanced training, plus support for license, certification, and DEA renewals
- A workload built around 29 patient-facing hours, with billing and insurance handled for you
It is amazing to work at a place where I always feel appreciated, supported, and cared for, both as a person and as a professional. One of the best things about working here is feeling like we are cared about as people as well as practitioners.
This is the first place since moving to NC I have felt proud to work for. I felt valued, appreciated, and supported, and I have grown so much in the last year... I don't know that this would have happened without Banyan.
Thank you so much for valuing us the way you do. I feel such a sense of gratitude for Banyan and the team that makes up this practice. We are the best! Grateful for our excellent leadership.
