Brief Summary of Work

The Sports & Recreational Turf Worker’s primary responsibility is to provide direct support to the Recreation Grounds and Turf Manager with related work associated with the upkeep and maintenance of the Recreational Field Complex and Shoreline Sports Complex, including buildings, synthetic turf fields, natural grass fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts and related equipment.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical labor (lifting at least 50 pounds required)
  • Commitment to seasonal work within May 1 – August 30 (specific start and end dates may be negotiated)
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Desire to pursue a career in turf management, applicable discipline, or related field
Required Certifications or Licensure
  • Valid Driver's License
Work Hours
  • Need to be available between 8am - 5pm
  • Work Days:
    Monday - Friday
  • Hours Per Week:
    Max of 30 hours per week (hours may vary due to weather and operational needs)
Compensation

Anticipated Hiring Range: $15 - $20 per hour
