Yard Foreman/Supervisor
Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Yard Foreman for our Scaffold Yard in Wilmington, NC. Responsible for maintaining the Scaffold yard in good order, supervising the loading and unloading of trucks, and the storage of equipment as well as assigning day to day task to the yard employees.
Position Responsibilities:
Assigns day-to-day work to Yard employees. Assists Yard employees in daily duties. Ensures that the yard is in good safe working order. Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed. Directs Yard employees in daily yard operations. Attends all weekly safety meetings and morning huddles. Assists walk-in customers by offering a high level of customer service. Checks work orders to make sure appropriate equipment is staged for loading.
Performs daily inspections for yard forklifts. Assists customers by filling orders and loading trucks. Inspects returned equipment for damage during the rental period. Maintains a checklist of equipment status. Aids in identifying T /D fleet and communicating with Yard Manager. Maintains yard organization and cleanliness. Ensures safe work habits for all staff and provides assistance and coaching as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred
- 2+ years experience managing a small team preferred
- experience in the scaffold industry a plus
- Experience in loading and strapping down of equipment on trucks preferred
- Clear understanding of equipment utilization and safety requirements
- Personal and professional integrity
- Demonstrated use of tools and equipment including forklifts (Moffitt forklift experience a PLUS)
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 50 pounds or more, as required by the job.
- Loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $20.31 - 27.92
Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
