CDL Driver - Delivery Driver

Job Overview

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class A Driver for our Wilmington, NC location. Candidates may hold a CDL Class A or CDL Class B license with Air Brake Endorsement.

• Safely deliver products to job sites and physically unload material per customer request.
• Receive materials in the warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Unload shingles on one- and two-story homes.
• Secure and distribute weight limits on trucks in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Move materials and items from receiving to designated areas.
• Perform heavy lifting of 50-100 lb. of material daily; occasional lifting over 100 lb.

• Must have 1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A licence.
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
• Background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen clearance.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Experience with box trucks, flatbed, and Moffett trailers desired.
• Ability to lift heavy loads daily.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.; overtime on Saturdays as needed.
