Overview

The Warehouse Specialist performs warehousing duties that require understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Responsibilities include verifying materials against receiving documents, noting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to storage locations, storing and stacking materials, taking inventory, examining stored materials for deterioration, and preparing items for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks as part of warehousing duties.

Note: This role may require HAZMAT certification.

Responsibilities
  • Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents and report discrepancies or obvious damages
  • Route materials to prescribed storage locations and store, stack, or palletize according to storage methods
  • Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials
  • Examine stored materials for deterioration or damage and report findings
  • Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment
  • Operate hand or power trucks as needed to perform warehousing duties
