Frontier Scientific Solutions is seeking two (2) Warehouse Operators to join the initial operations team at the largest purpose-built life sciences logistics campus in the US, located adjacent to Wilmington International Airport (ILM). This is a cross-functional warehouse position in which employees will be trained to perform a variety of receiving, inventory, material-handling, order-fulfillment, and shipping activities based on client and operational needs.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
- Enter inventory transactions accurately using a Warehouse Management System, RF scanners, barcode scanners, and related technology.
- Perform putaway, replenishment, cycle counts, stock verification, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy research.
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment following required training and authorization.
- Pick client orders and verify product identification number, lot/batch numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and customer-specific requirements.
- Pack, label, stage, document, and load outbound shipments for carrier pickup.
- Maintain product integrity, traceability, security, inventory accuracy, and chain of custody throughout warehouse activities.
- Follow Good Distribution Practices, applicable Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA requirements, approved procedures, and customer requirements.
- Identify and appropriately segregate damaged, discrepant, quarantined, returned, or nonconforming product.
- Maintain a clean, safe, secure, organized, and inspection-ready warehouse.
- Cross-train across warehouse functions and adapt to changing assignments and operational priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ability to maintain reliable and punctual attendance and work the assigned schedule, including occasional overtime as operational needs require.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required for strong entry-level candidates.
- Forklift or powered industrial equipment experience is preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, cold chain, food distribution, aerospace, or another regulated environment is a plus.
- Ability to learn warehouse systems, inventory procedures, equipment operation, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, safety awareness, teamwork, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read, understand and follow SOPs, Work Instructions, safety requirements and other written/verbal instructions.
- Ability to accurately complete paper and electronic documentation.
- Basic to intermediate computer and math skills for counting, quantity verification, inventory transactions and reconciliation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, perform repetitive movements and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work is currently performed primarily in an ambient, climate-controlled warehouse. Occasional overtime or modified hours may be required as client and operational needs develop. Future assignments may include refrigerated or frozen storage areas, with appropriate protective equipment and training.
Screening and Security RequirementsFollowing a conditional offer, candidates must successfully complete required criminal background screening and a pre-employment drug screen. Employees must also be eligible to obtain and maintain the airport, Customs, facility, and regulatory credentials required for their assignments. These may include:
- An ILM Security Identification Display Area, or SIDA, badge.
