R+L Carriers has immediate openings for a Safety Compliance coordinator at our Wilmington, OH Service Center.

The candidate will be responsible for answering a variety of calls throughout the night serving as an emergency safety contact for after business hours, as well as taking and following up on numerous reports throughout each shift. Incumbent will also aid in general Safety Administrator responsibilities shared in the department (example but not limited to: general phone calls received in Safety Department, including citations/inspections, vehicular accident event recording, call in complaints from the motoring public, and injury report completion/notification).

Candidate

Requirements
  • Field phone calls / email follow‑up regarding crash events, spills, violations, citations, driver qualification and ELD issues.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the office after business hours.
  • Provide thorough communication via reports, email, and verbal follow‑up with staff regarding PM and weekend recorded incidents.
  • Organize and maintain files and records.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Coordinate first responders to serious crash event scenes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Daily Responsibility
  • Answer all phone calls/emails in a timely and professional manner. Accurately report the details of the overnight events and accomplish other duties as assigned.
Office Skills
  • Ability to learn in‑house/external computer programs such as Risk Master, Legacy, Pathfinder and Corrective Action Dashboard.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office products:
    Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to handle high volumes of phone and email communication, triaging communication to the correct person or department.
  • Must work in a confidential capacity.
  • Time‑management skills; prioritize for deadlines.
Education/Experience
  • Minimum:
    High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.
Other Duties
  • Other ad‑hoc, temporary, and permanent duties as assigned.
