Permit Coordinator

The role is to process timely applications for building permits, ensuring all necessary documents are accurately submitted and tracked, manage responses to comments and handle re‑submittals, pay necessary fees, obtain permits, keep permit trackers up to date, and occasionally travel to jurisdictions to hand‑deliver documentation and build relationships. The coordinator uses Microsoft Office Suite and DXC Home builder One (HB1).

Responsibilities
  • Process timely applications for building permits.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are accurately submitted and tracked.
  • Manage responses to comments from permit applications and handle re‑submittals.
  • Pay all necessary fees and obtain building permits.
  • Maintain process flow permit trackers to be always up to date.
  • Occasionally travel to different jurisdictions to hand‑deliver documentation and establish relationships.
  • Ensure submissions meet company objectives and local requirements while maintaining professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Excited to collaborate in a team environment.

  • Ability to learn various technologies utilized on the job.
  • Desire to travel outside of the office location.
  • College degree (nice to have).
  • Experience with construction or permitting (nice to have).
