Site Manager, Construction Manager/ Foreman
Traveling Superintendent – $70,000 yearly. Travel is a must; work schedule is 9 days on, 5 days off. Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities- Follow the project construction process to ensure completion on time;
- Liaise with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site in terms of licenses and safety;
- Supervise the general contractor and ensure punctual delivery;
- Hold weekly site meetings;
- Travel to site and oversee all construction processes, including flying and safe driving of at least 6 hours;
- Coordinate with project manager and other R+L Carriers employees on a regular basis;
- Maintain, clean, and schedule maintenance and repairs of assigned vehicle;
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders of the project;
- Record total costs for materials and payments for work done;
- Ensure health and safety project plans are implemented;
- Write daily project progress reports and store site photos;
- Maintain quality and budget during construction;
- Proactively identify design deficiencies, scheduling concerns, and other project-specific issues;
- Coordinate with suppliers and request purchase orders;
- Ensure the general contractor maintains clean and safe standards;
- Schedule reviews and oversight;
- Manage general contractor and sub-contractors;
- Participate with the project team in pre-project planning sessions, estimating, sub‑contractor selection, and scheduling.
- Ability to schedule and multitask;
- Comfortable with basic technology, email, saving documents and photos to the server, Microsoft Office suite, and applications such as cell phone, tablet, etc.;
- Reliable transportation;
- Knowledgeable in building and construction;
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to supervise;
- Experience with construction scheduling software;
- Computer skills: complete daily timekeeping on a third‑party website, proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and address conflict;
- Delegation skills;
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills;
- Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and terms and conditions of project contracts, subcontracts, and change orders;
- Plan travel via third‑party website;
- Ability to traverse rough terrain, in all weather conditions, and lift 50 lbs.
